Beginner Decoartive Painting Workshop

You may go to website and print off picture of our project and bring with you.
Surface needed: Wooden plaque with an area to paint on that is at least 7 1/2 " x 10" or larger.
It doesn't have to be curved at the top. Pine is good but make sure it has no Knots.
Supplies needed from craft store:
Water basin (I like square ones-the green One Stroke one is great.)
Black & White Graphite paper
a "stylus"
Pallette paper (for acrylics-the top of each page should be smooth and shiney)
Fine sandpaper- 220 grit, or a sanding pad that is "fine".
(I will bring some)
A 1” foam brush
A magic rub eraser
Supplies needed from home:
VIVA brand paper towels.
a small rag is nice to have.
a small waterless hand cleaner like Purelle or Suave brand.
a short jar or cup to stand your brushes up in.
Q-tips
a pen or pencil & notepad
Scotch tape- ½” ( the magic kind you can write on)
wear an old shirt. Be comfortable. grin...
You might want to bring a chair pad to sit on too.
To finish( later) you'd need the bells, jute, eye screws and a varnish. To be discussed in class.
Bring any drinks /bag lunch/snacks you will need.
You will pay me directly at the beginning of class.

I know this is a whole new language if you haven't painted before. I work at Michaels and can help you find some of these there but look at Hobby Lobby too. ASK for help!
